CASE STUDY: FAST AND EASY SIGNAGE WITH ABC SIGNS

Helping Catholic Health Partners become Mercy Health

Recently at ABC Signs, we were contacted by the Director of Real Estate for Catholic Health Partners regarding their ongoing rebranding efforts. They were to undergo a transformation into Mercy Health and they needed bids on two new signs for their 130 foot tall building. We were excited to be a part of the bidding process and quickly sent our sales reps/surveyors to their building to assess their needs. Our surveyors, Cliff and Matt reviewed the building by:

  • Surveying the outside of the building from the ground up
  • Surveying the access in the parking lot for the crane
  • Surveying the electrical connections and mounting methods from the roof
  • Locating the access panels within certain offices
  • This all included working with security and management to gain access to all the areas needed

 

Once all the information was gathered, ABC Signs developed a proposal which also included some initial designs and details for the project.

The price was right for the Catholic Health Partners but we needed to work out some concerns with the sign design firm who designed Mercy Health’s logo, Madison Design. We talked with them about everything and understood all the requirements to make the logo look perfect. After this was settled, ABC Signs was awarded the project and we began to move forward with the permitting process.

The next step in any sign development process is to submit the project to the city and obtain permits. The City of Cincinnati in this instance considered the project a “re-branding” which allowed for a much easier permitting process. We were still required to obtain zoning permits, building permits, electrical inspections and engineering but the entire permit process was very painless. When we obtained all we needed to move forward, the designs were sent out for fabrication and we prepped for installation.

Within four weeks everything was ready to go for installation. Around that time, the customer asked if we could hold off till a slightly later date when other re-branding efforts would launch. We are always happy to go the extra mile for our clients so we kindly stored the sign at our facility until the agreed upon date.

After a few short weeks of waiting, the installation date had finally arrived. ABC Signs contracted a local crane company to aide with the installation. ABC Signs’ entire installation crew was on site for a seamless installation.
